Hotel Barbara Fiesa – a new member of the Slovenia Green Scheme of Slovenian Tourism

Hotel Barbara Fiesa, part of the Eurotas hotel group, has joined the Slovenia Green Scheme of Slovenian Tourism, further strengthening its commitment to sustainability. The hotel develops responsible practices in resource management, waste reduction, and sustainable mobility, while maintaining close cooperation with the local community. The obtained sustainability labels represent a commitment to long-term improvement of environmental and social impacts.

The EH group continues its sustainability story by including Hotel Barbara Fiesa in the Slovenia Green Scheme. Located in a unique natural setting between the sea and the greenery of Fiesa, the hotel builds its vision on the belief that sustainability is above all a commitment – to do better, preserve the surrounding nature, and enjoy it respectfully and responsibly.

This is reflected in numerous concrete practices: reducing single-use plastics, consistent waste separation, and promoting the reuse of resources. Special attention is given to efficient energy and water management and the use of environmentally friendly cleaning products. Guests also have access to an electric vehicle charging station, through which the hotel actively promotes sustainable mobility.

An important part of the sustainability story is also the reduction of food waste through modern approaches, as well as cooperation with local providers, enabling guests to experience authentic local cuisine, culture, and nature. The hotel also encourages responsible exploration of the destination and raises awareness among guests about sustainable practices.

Deputy hotel manager Sebastjan Plahuta emphasizes that obtaining the Green Key label and joining the Slovenia Green family is not a goal but a journey – a commitment to continuous improvement, responsible development, and creating a positive impact on the environment and the local community.
