Portorož Nights 2026

Portorož Nights will take place from 14 to 16 August 2026, filling Portorož with music, gastronomy, street entertainment and special seaside experiences for three days.

The events will be held at several locations in Portorož – Trg Prekomorskih Brigad (Overseas Brigades Square), Portorož Central Beach, and the wooden pier, where the Obsession Red culinary evening will take place on Sunday.

On Friday and Saturday, the main attraction will be the Culinary Promenade at Trg Prekomorskih Brigad, while the evening programme at Portorož Central Beach will feature concerts by Parni Valjak and Joker Out. Sunday will be dedicated to street performers and the closing culinary experience on the pier.

All concerts at Portorož Central Beach are free of charge.

On the first day of Portorož Nights, the square will come alive with a diverse selection of food, drinks, local flavours and summer culinary specialties. Between 5:00 PM and 9:00 PM, a charity pancake event will also take place, with special guests joining the baking – to be announced soon. Music will be provided by DJ Merenge.

Luka Cvetičanin will open the Friday concert programme and set the tone for the first musical evening.

The legendary Parni Valjak, one of the region’s most iconic bands, will perform on Portorož Central Beach, bringing decades of hits that have marked several generations.

The Culinary Promenade continues on Saturday with a rich selection of food, drinks and a relaxed festival atmosphere. Charity pancakes will once again be prepared from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, while DJ Merenge will provide the music.

Joker Out, one of Slovenia’s most popular bands in recent years, will take the stage with their distinctive energy, charisma and acclaimed live performances.

The final evening of Portorož Nights will be dedicated to street art. The square will transform into an open-air stage where street performers will create a playful, relaxed and lively summer atmosphere for all generations.

Obsession Red – Dinner on the Pier
Third wooden pier from the direction of Piran towards Lucija

Obsession Red returns as a special five-course culinary experience, created by two renowned chefs – Filip Matjaž, chef of Restaurant COB, and Kristian Zulej, chef of Stara Gostilna – Vecchia Osteria.

The evening will combine gastronomy, the seaside setting and the symbolism of the colour red.

Dress code: Red.

Ticket sales for Obsession Red begin on 13 July 2026. The number of seats is limited, and the pier will be closed to the public for the evening.

Culinary promenade

The Culinary Promenade will take place on Friday, 14 August, and Saturday, 15 August 2026, from 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM at Square of Overseas Brigades in Portorož.

Visitors will enjoy a varied selection of food, drinks, local flavours and culinary specialties – from wines, cocktails, gin and tonics and refreshing summer beverages to pizzas, burgers, fish dishes, sweet treats, pancakes, doughnuts, waffles, fritule pastries, matcha drinks and other culinary surprises.

Among the exhibitors will be: VinaKoper, Istrape Gin, Limoni Šik, Pikine dobrote, Vina Kralj & Krmec, Takamaka, Kreativna agencija Friends Production, Altroke, Nitprint, Grand Event Catering, Slaščičarna Dora, Rizzibizi, Armai Matcha, Hiša Dual, Biradski, Smash Burger Place, Torrentis, and others.

A special part of the Culinary Promenade will be the charity pancake event, taking place on both days from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

The proceeds will be donated to Lunina Vila Association, which supports children, young people and families in need.
