After a six-year break, we are reviving the Piran Open-Air Cinema Under the Stars in the enchanting garden of the Georgios Pastoral and Cultural Centre. Nine free film screenings will take place on Wednesdays from 1 July to 26 August 2026. The Piran summer under the stars will open with the premiere preview of the Slovenian film “Skriti ljudje”, directed by Miha Hočevar, followed by a discussion with the filmmakers. The full programme will be announced shortly.
With very limited resources, the screenings are organized by the Škver Cultural and Arts Association, the Parish of Piran, and enthusiastic film lovers from Piran, with the support of the Municipality of Piran, the Portorož Tourist Association, and donors from the local community. All activities will be carried out on a voluntary basis.
