After a six-year break, we are reviving the Piran Open-Air Cinema Under the Stars in the enchanting garden of the Georgios Pastoral and Cultural Centre. Nine free film screenings will take place on Wednesdays from 1 July to 26 August 2026. The Piran summer under the stars will open with the premiere preview of the Slovenian film “Skriti ljudje”, directed by Miha Hočevar, followed by a discussion with the filmmakers. The full programme will be announced shortly.
With very limited resources, the screenings are organized by the Škver Cultural and Arts Association, the Parish of Piran, and enthusiastic film lovers from Piran, with the support of the Municipality of Piran, the Portorož Tourist Association, and donors from the local community. All activities will be carried out on a voluntary basis.
Nach einer sechsjährigen Pause beleben wir das Piraner Freiluftkino unter den Sternen im zauberhaften Garten des Pastoral- und Kulturzentrums Georgios wieder. Neun kostenlose Filmvorführungen finden mittwochs vom 1. Juli bis zum 26. August 2026 statt. Der Sommer unter den Sternen in Piran wird mit der Vorpremiere des slowenischen Films „Skriti ljudje“ unter der Regie von Miha Hočevar eröffnet, gefolgt von einem Gespräch mit den Filmschaffenden. Das vollständige Filmprogramm wird in Kürze veröffentlicht.
Mit minimalen finanziellen Mitteln werden die Vorführungen vom Kultur- und Kunstverein Škver, der Pfarrei Piran und engagierten Filmfreunden aus Piran organisiert, mit Unterstützung der Gemeinde Piran, des Tourismusverbandes Portorož sowie von Spendern aus der lokalen Gemeinschaft. Alle Aktivitäten werden ehrenamtlich durchgeführt.
