The fully renovated public toilets in Zelenjavni trg square are once again available to visitors. The modern facilities offer greater comfort, safety and accessibility, contributing to a more pleasant visit to Piran Market and the historic town centre.
The toilets feature new sanitary equipment, installations and surfaces, an efficient ventilation system with a HEPA filter, and additional features designed to improve fire safety and user safety. The renovation was carried out with long-term use and easier maintenance of public infrastructure in mind.
Accessible to people with disabilities
Special attention was given to visitors with reduced mobility. The accessible toilet facility enables safer and more independent use and is also equipped with an SOS emergency button.
When the button is pressed, an audible and visual alarm is activated, and the user is connected to a call centre. This ensures prompt assistance in the event of difficulty or an emergency.
Safe and well maintained for all visitors
To help keep the renovated facilities clean, safe and pleasant to use, video surveillance has been installed at the entrance. In the future, access will be managed through a payment system. Until it is introduced, a maintenance attendant will be present during opening hours to ensure cleanliness and assist visitors.
