Have you ever noticed a sea turtle, jellyfish, dolphin, pile of rubbish or an incorrectly anchored vessel while walking by the sea? From now on, you can report such observations quickly and easily via the new zamorje.si platform.
The platform enables the simple submission of observations from the sea and coast, encouraging individuals to take part in monitoring and protecting the marine environment. The collected data will help improve understanding of what is happening in the Slovenian sea, identify potential environmental challenges and contribute to more effective nature protection.
Submitting an observation is simple. On the platform, users select the location and time of the observation, add a photo or short video and fill in a few basic details. In this way, every coastal visitor, walker, swimmer, sailor or sea lover can become part of a wider network of observers of the Slovenian sea.
The platform is intended for reporting various observations, including marine animals such as turtles, dolphins and jellyfish, as well as pollution, waste, improper vessel anchoring and other occurrences that affect the state of the marine environment.
Public participation is an important step towards a more responsible attitude to the sea. Every report can contribute to better knowledge of our marine area and to timely responses to environmental changes.
You can submit your observation on the website www.zamorje.si.
