At the Green Day of Slovenian Tourism, organised by the Slovenian Tourist Board on 14 May 2026, two accommodation providers from the Portorož – Piran destination stood out among the recipients of the Slovenia Green label: Boutique Hotel Portorose and Hotel Barbara Fiesa. Their inclusion among sustainably certified providers confirms that sustainable development in the destination is also being implemented directly within the tourism industry, through concrete services and guest experiences.
Boutique Hotel Portorose and Hotel Barbara Fiesa were listed among the accommodation providers that received the Slovenia Green label. This recognition is important as it highlights their commitment to responsible operations, sustainable practices and quality services that support the green direction of Slovenian tourism.
The destination Portorož – Piran, which renewed its Slovenia Green Silver label, is thus further strengthened at the provider level. The success of local hotels shows that sustainability is not only a destination strategy, but is becoming part of providers’ everyday operations, helping shape the image of Portorož and Piran as a responsible, boutique and high-quality tourist destination.
