Tourism creates stories of hospitality, unforgettable memories and enriches the places where we live. In this spirit, World Tourism Day will be celebrated in Portorož on Saturday, 3 October 2026, at Trg prekomorskih brigad.
The event will begin at 4.00 pm with a Culinary Promenade, offering selected local flavours and authentic Istrian cuisine.
The main evening programme will begin at 6.30 pm, featuring the Miss Tourism Slovenia 2026 pageant and the ceremonial presentation of the Tourism Coat of Excellence – an award recognising outstanding achievements in tourism. A fantastic atmosphere will be created by Lea Sirk, Žiga Rustja, Funk Affair, Minka Lavrič, violinist Barbara Zalaznik and SWANK Dance Club.
Admission to the event is free.
In case of bad weather, the event will take place at the Portus Congress Centre, LifeClass Hotels & Spa, starting at 6.30 pm.
