The Slovenian sea hides an extraordinary wealth of life that most visitors never notice. Join us for a unique full-day experience where, under the guidance of renowned underwater photographer Borut Furlan, you will explore the underwater world of Piran Punta and discover its rich biodiversity through the camera lens.
The underwater photography experience combines diving, underwater photography, discovering marine organisms and a sustainable approach to the sea. The programme includes an introductory lecture and practical tips on underwater photography, a presentation of the code of responsible photography, a guided dive with the mentor and instructors from Dive Center Sub-net, a shared lunch and an analysis of the photographs taken. At the end of the day, the best unedited photograph will also be selected, while selected images will be included in the project’s digital gallery.
The event is the first pilot edition of a new boutique sustainable tourism experience developed within the European project PHOENIX 4.0.
Participation requirements: a minimum diving certification of CMAS 2★, PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or an equivalent qualification, your own photography equipment, active diving experience and compliance with safe diving requirements. The event is intended for scuba diving with autonomous diving equipment and is not suitable for freedivers.
Participation is free of charge, but due to the limited number of places, submitting an application does not guarantee participation. Selected participants will be notified by email after the applications have been reviewed.
