Tartini Festival 2026 -Scintillanti Armonie Ensemble

The ensemble Scintillanti Armonie will perform in Piran for the first time this year, bringing to the festival the rich sound world of Baroque trumpets, timpani and organ. In addition to the main concert evening, the musicians will also present several shorter performances at selected venues around the town, bringing their music closer to Piran in its open, historic setting.

The programme spans the 17th and 18th centuries and combines festive brilliance, virtuosity and historically informed interpretation. It will feature works by Georg Philipp Telemann, Dietrich Buxtehude, Romanus Weichlein, Georg Böhm, Giuseppe Maria Jacchini and Johann Caspar Fischer.

Performing will be Emanuele Resini, Calogero Contino and Matteo Villa on Baroque trumpets, Francesco Bodini on Baroque timpani and Giovanni Calò on organ.

Scintillanti Armonie is an ensemble of Baroque trumpets, timpani and organ, founded in 2026 on the initiative of maestro Andrea Marcon within the international artistic and educational programme Frau Musika. The musicians trained at prestigious institutions in Italy and across Europe and are active as specialists in historically informed performance practice.

The ensemble’s repertoire ranges from the 16th to the late 18th century and is performed with a strong sense of style, balancing historical authenticity with interpretative freshness. With its combination of trumpets, organ and timpani, the ensemble revives a brilliant, festive sound world known since the Renaissance.

The concert will bring magnificent Baroque sonorities and a special festival experience to Piran in the town’s historic atmosphere.
