The concert by Il Terzo Suono will present selected works by Giuseppe Tartini, Antonio Vivaldi, Amandus Ivančič and Giovanni Battista Pergolesi. The programme will be marked by the refined sound of the traverso flute, violins, cello and harpsichord, as well as the rich expressive world of Baroque music.
Performing will be Jasna Nadles on traverso flute, violinists Greta Manzardo and Iveta Schwarz, cellist Milan Vrsajkov and harpsichordist Ellen Braslavsky.
The programme includes Tartini’s Trio Sonata in D major and Sonata Piccola, Vivaldi’s trio sonatas and sonata for violin and basso continuo, Ivančič’s Sonata a tre, and Pergolesi’s Concerto for flute and strings in G major. The selection will guide the audience through the diversity of the Baroque chamber repertoire, from virtuosic violin lines to the bright sound of the traverso.
A special feature of the evening will be the performance on a harpsichord, a copy of an instrument by Carlo Grimaldi from 1697, made in the workshop of Winfried Hackl. The harpsichord will contribute significantly to the historically informed sound and artistically convincing interpretation of the programme.
The international ensemble Il Terzo Suono was founded in 2005 and brings together members of various European orchestras. The ensemble also performs repertoire on Baroque instruments, regularly appears at major European festivals and collaborates with renowned soloists such as Sergio Azzolini, Giuliano Carmignola, Christophe Coin, Mario Brunello, Vladimir Mendelssohn and others.
The evening will offer a blend of Tartini’s musical heritage, Italian Baroque and historically informed performance practice.
