A concert at Tartini House will bring together Italian Baroque and Tartini’s violin heritage in an intimate setting closely connected with the life of the great composer from Piran. Performing will be violinist Neža Klinar, cellist Carlo Maria Paulesu and lutenist Marco Baronchelli.
The programme features works by Giuseppe Tartini, Antonio Vivaldi, Antonio Vandini, Joan Ambrosio Dalza, Alessandro Piccinini and Arcangelo Corelli. Through selected works, the audience will discover the diversity of the Baroque musical language – from virtuosic violin pieces and rich basso continuo to solo miniatures for lute.
Neža Klinar, born in Ljubljana, studied at the Ljubljana Conservatory of Music and Ballet and at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg. She specialised in Baroque violin and historically informed performance practice, and has appeared at renowned festivals such as the Salzburg Festival, Mozartwoche, Bled Festival, Maribor Festival, Enescu Festival and others. She collaborates with various orchestras and acclaimed early music artists.
Cellist Carlo Maria Paulesu is devoted to both classical music and historically informed performance practice. He studied in Italy and at the Mozarteum University Salzburg, and has performed with ensembles such as Les Musiciens du Prince – Monaco, Collegium Musicum Riga, La Lira d’Orfeo and Ensemble Cordevento. He is also a co-founder of the filoBarocco ensemble.
Lutenist Marco Baronchelli began his musical path as a classical guitarist before dedicating himself to the lute and basso continuo. In 2018, he co-founded the filoBarocco ensemble, with which he explores the Baroque repertoire in a creative and contemporary way. He has collaborated with various European ensembles and orchestras, including the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Jordi Savall.
The concert will offer a blend of Tartini’s musical heritage, Italian Baroque elegance and intimate chamber music-making.
