Opening of the solo exhibition by Luciano Zarotti and Dorina Petronio.
The exhibition will be on view at two locations, in Piran and Koper. The opening at the Gravisi-Buttorai Palace in Koper will take place at 7:00 PM. Transport between Piran and Koper will also be organised for the occasion.
The exhibition “Reflections of Light – Horizons of Salt” presents works by Venetian artists Luciano Zarotti and Dorina Petronio, symbolically connecting Venice with Koper and Piran. The concept of the exhibition stems from the surnames of both artists, which have historically been present in this area as well. This connection becomes the starting point for a broader story – one about Istria, its identity and its centuries-old ties with Venice.
Rather than reconstructing family genealogies, the exhibition uses art as a key to rediscovering the memory of place. It presents Istria as a space of encounters, interweaving and exchange between the two shores of the Adriatic, reviving the connections that have shaped its cultural landscape over the centuries.
