From 2 to 10 July 2026, Portorož will once again come alive in the spirit of top-level youth beach volleyball.
Volley Club Portorož, in cooperation with BVK Koper, will host international competitions for younger categories at Central Beach Portorož under the auspices of MEVZA – the Middle European Volleyball Zonal Association. The best young male and female beach volleyball players from Central Europe will compete in exciting matches and fight for qualification to the European Championship.
The competition will take place in three categories. From 2 to 4 July, the MEVZA U18 qualifiers will be held; from 5 to 7 July, the MEVZA U20 qualifiers will take place; and from 8 to 10 July, the MEVZA U16 Central European Championship will follow.
The event represents important recognition for the organisers and continues the successful tradition of hosting international tournaments in Portorož, which is increasingly establishing itself as one of the leading beach volleyball venues in Slovenia.
Visitors will be able to enjoy thrilling sporting encounters on Portorož’s central beach, cheer for the Slovenian representatives and experience a vibrant summer sports atmosphere by the sea.
Admission to all matches is free.
