En Big Band, founded in 2014, brings the experience of live big band music closer to a wider audience through its diverse musical expression. It brings together professional musicians and enthusiasts of various generations from Slovenian Istria.
The repertoire is based on well-known classics (Sinatra, Basie, Ellington) as well as contemporary works by Slovenian and international composers. Special emphasis is placed on supporting young talents and exploring diverse genres such as jazz, funk, pop, and Latin music.
The band has collaborated with many renowned Slovenian artists, including Vlado Kreslin, Lea Sirk, and Maja Keuc, and has successfully carried out projects such as “En Big Band Searches for Your Talent.” They regularly create thematic programs and continuously develop their musical offering.
The artistic direction is currently led by Mitja Bobič.
