From 14 July onwards, Coco Cafe Portorož will come alive with the rhythms of live music. Summer evenings will be marked by the project Martina & The Music Lab, which, under the direction of experienced musician David Morgan, combines great energy, outstanding performance and a diverse music programme. Music Lab continues the successful musical stories of previous years, such as Hangar Lab and Open Mic Mixtape, bringing a fresh concert concept with a strong focus on experience, rhythm and genuine connection with the audience.
The stage will host a line-up of excellent musicians who regularly perform both in Slovenia and abroad and collaborate with well-known artists from the worlds of jazz, pop, soul, funk and other genres. The evening will be led by singer Martina Zerjal, whose energy, voice and charisma will take the audience through a special selection of legendary songs from the 70s, 80s, 90s and 2000s, as well as newer current hits. The music evenings will blend jazz, funk, soul, R’n’B, rock, pop, Brazilian samba and bossa nova, making them perfect for anyone looking for a relaxed, high-quality and lively summer evening by the sea.
The Music Lab project promises a true concert atmosphere: groove, feel and experience. Visitors can expect more than just a performance — it is a musical experience that brings together skilled musicians, recognisable rhythms and the relaxed atmosphere of Portorož. Each Live Music Lab performance is also recorded in audio and video format, adding a special production character to the events.
Behind the musical concept is David Morgan, a musician with more than three decades of experience, over 2,000 concerts and numerous collaborations with renowned Slovenian and international musicians. The line-up is completed by acclaimed musicians, including Marko Hrvatin, Miha Koren, Erik Marenče and Martina Zerjal, each contributing their own musical path and experience to a high-quality and dynamic concert evening.
