Romeo and Juliet is a timeless ballet masterpiece based on William Shakespeare’s celebrated tragedy, which tells one of the greatest love stories of all time. The divertissement from the ballet Esmeralda is an elegant production featuring some of the most beautiful and virtuosic dance excerpts from the classical ballet. Inspired by Victor Hugo’s novel The Hunchback of Notre-Dame, it combines brilliant variations, pas de deux and ensemble scenes that transport the audience to the colourful world of medieval Paris. With its technical complexity, expressive musicality and rich stage aesthetics, it is a true celebration of classical ballet, delighting both connoisseurs and new audiences.

DANCS Ballet Evenings
The First DANCS Ballet Evening marks the first public performance by participants of the DANCS International Summer Ballet Camp. Following the first days of intensive rehearsals, young ballet artists from around the world take to the stage with a varied programme of classical and contemporary ballet, solo pieces, pas de deux and group choreographies. The evening offers the audience a unique insight into their artistic journey, dedication and international creative collaboration.
The Final DANCS Ballet Evening is the highlight of the DANCS International Summer Ballet Camp. After weeks of intensive work with leading international teachers and choreographers, the participants perform selected excerpts from the classical ballet repertoire, contemporary choreographies and new productions created especially for DANCS. This gala evening is a celebration of artistic growth, international friendship and a shared love of ballet.
