On Saturday, 19 September 2026, Beach Bar Wakanda at Marina Portorož will come alive to the rhythms of house music. From 14:00 to 23:00, the seaside venue will host the nine-hour Classic House Uprising music event, dedicated to lovers of timeless house sounds and contemporary electronic beats.
Classic House Uprising brings together experienced DJs and producers who have been active on the electronic music scene for decades. Their musical selection ranges from iconic house classics of the 1990s to carefully selected contemporary house, deep house, melodic and tech-house sounds.
The musical atmosphere will be created by the members of the collective:
STANNY ABRAM
Stanny Abram (Stanko Abram) is a DJ and producer with more than 30 years of experience on the electronic music scene. His sound is rooted in house music with influences of tech-house and deep house. A highly prolific producer, he has released music on more than 100 international labels, including Glasgow Underground, Toolroom Records, S&S Records, Stereo Productions and Great Stuff. Throughout his career, he has shared the stage with numerous major names from the international electronic music scene.
OBJAN
OBJAN (Bojan Mikulan) is a veteran member of Classic House Uprising who began his DJ career in 1983. He has held residencies at several well-known Slovenian clubs, including Club Valentino, K4, Palma and Propaganda. In 1995, he founded the Tito’s Tea House events in Bled. With decades of experience behind him, he has developed a distinctive style combining funky disco house, house classics and an exceptional feel for the dynamics of the dance floor.
BARBS / THE NUNE
BARBS / THE NUNE (Barbara Glavnik) is a Ljubljana-based DJ, producer, promoter and event organiser. She performs at clubs and festivals across Slovenia, Croatia and Italy, with a musical style focused primarily on melodic house and melodic techno. A lifelong fan of both rock and electronic music, she creates highly melodic and atmospheric sets, intuitively selecting tracks to match the energy of the dance floor.
LUKE SAMPLLER
Luke Sampller (Luka Dobrajc) is a DJ and producer from Celje with more than 20 years of experience behind the decks. He has performed at renowned Ibiza venues including Space, Eden and Café Mambo. Rooted in classic house, his productions and sets now combine progressive, melodic and deep tech elements, creating an energetic yet emotional sound.
FUNK33
Funk33 (Miran Pratnekar) has been active on the electronic music scene since 1995, when he started out as a resident DJ at the Celje clubs Jungle and Casablanca. He later performed at Teater House Deluxe, Casa and Escape and was a member of the E-modulation collective. He has shared the stage with artists including Axwell, Frankie Knuckles, Marshall Jefferson, Mark Knight and Fedde le Grand. His style combines timeless house classics, contemporary sounds, energy and a distinctive groove.
D-SOUNDS
D-SOUNDS (Stjepan Drača) is a Ljubljana-based DJ and producer and the founder of the Classic House Uprising collective. His sets reflect his passion for classic house, which he blends with contemporary rhythms. He is also a member of the band Hidden View and collaborates with Stanny Abram on house music productions and the Two Souls (SLO) project. Their collaboration has also achieved successful chart positions on the Traxsource Melodic/Progressive House Top 100.
The event’s special guest will be Joe Montana, a renowned DJ, producer and veteran of the house scene, well known among electronic music fans as a former regular guest DJ at the legendary coastal club Ambasada Gavioli.
Join us for nine hours of house music in a relaxed seaside setting and spend a Saturday afternoon and evening immersed in the rhythms that have shaped generations of club culture.
