After a longer absence, the Coastal Chamber Orchestra returns to the stages of Piran and opens its new concert season with works by Dolar, Tartini, Vivaldi and Bach. The orchestra will be conducted by artistic director Vlado Repše, with violinist Črtomir Šiškovič, an outstanding expert on Tartini’s works, appearing as soloist.
Šiškovič will perform Tartini’s Concerto in G major, which he transcribed and arranged from a manuscript discovered in Trieste in 2021. He will play Tartini’s violin, preserved by the Sergej Mašera Maritime Museum Piran and permanently displayed in Tartini’s Birth House. Another special feature of the concert will be a harpsichord, a copy of Carlo Grimaldi’s 1697 instrument.
Performers: Coastal Chamber Orchestra, Vlado Repše – conductor, Črtomir Šiškovič – violin, Bogomir Petrač – concertmaster.
Organizer: OI JSKD Piran, ZKD Piran, Coastal Chamber Orchestra, Municipality of Piran, Avditorij Portorož – Portorose
