Tuesday, 13 October 2026

The festival begins with a morning programme for children, featuring screenings of Skačemo, plešemo, rastemo and Zgodbe iz čarobnega vrta. In the afternoon, the films Dislocirana enota: Kosovel and Plečnikova skrivnost will follow. The highlight of the first day will be the official opening at 7:00 PM in the Main Hall of Avditorij Portorož, featuring the films Lovec oblakov and Ida, ki je pela tako grdo, da so še mrtvi vstali od mrtvih in zapeli z njo.

Wednesday, 14 October 2026

The second day of the festival combines film screenings with current topics in contemporary film production. The morning begins with the film Praznik mladinske pesmi and an expert discussion on the role of artificial intelligence in contemporary film and audiovisual production. Numerous screenings will follow throughout the day, including Odsev reke, Vloga za drobtinice and Belo se pere na devetdeset. The evening will conclude with the film Sramota in denar.

Thursday, 15 October 2026

Thursday offers a varied selection of student, short, documentary and feature films. The day begins with a programme of student films in competition, while the professional programme will address film archiving, digitisation and the preservation of film heritage. The programme includes Juha z arzenikom, Upornica and Let mrtve ptice, followed by a selection of short minority co-production films. The evening programme features Ples življenja and Veter, govori mi.

Friday, 16 October 2026

Friday’s programme will connect Slovenian cinema with the international film scene. The morning features Triglav: Pot odrešitve, while the professional programme includes a conversation with Bernd Buder, Programme Director of the Cottbus Film Festival, as well as topics related to working conditions and ethical standards in the film industry. A special part of the day will also focus on connections between Slovenia and Vietnam with a screening of Ko zadiši pho. The evening will feature Vse, kar je narobe s tabo and Dekle noči.

Saturday, 17 October 2026

Saturday will be dedicated to a full-day film marathon. The morning begins with the third selection of student films in competition, followed by screenings of Osemdeset plus (80+), Bučko and Gajin svet 3. The evening programme features Izgubljeni sin and Hotel Alkohol, making Saturday a great opportunity to discover different generations, genres and faces of Slovenian cinema in a single day.

Sunday, 18 October 2026

The final day of the festival will focus on film heritage, student films and the ceremonial closing of the festival. The morning programme includes a special screening marking the 80th anniversary of UL AGRFT, followed by a retrospective selection of short student films. The festival will conclude at 7:00 PM in the Main Hall of Avditorij Portorož with the official awards ceremony.
