At Dolphin Day, visitors will be able to experience first-hand how dolphins are searched for from land, an important part of the research work carried out by the Morigenos association.
By observing from the shore, researchers also collect valuable data on the behaviour, movement and presence of dolphins in our sea.
At 15:00, participants will meet at Tartini Square by the Morigenos association stand, from where they will set off together to take on the role of observers. They will learn what researchers pay attention to, how to spot dolphins at sea and what needs to be considered during observation.
Participants will also be able to look through binoculars themselves and try spotting dolphins.
As it is expected to be quite hot at that time, we recommend bringing water, a hat and sun protection.
You are warmly invited to Piran on Saturday!
