Live like a salt harvester in the salt pans
While you enjoy a relaxing break, your children embark on a
magical salt-making adventure! Under the guidance of
two experienced animators, they will spend three hours
exploring the world of salt – through
play, movement, and
creativity they will learn about the
700-year-old tradition of salt production,
try their hand at being little salt workers,
exercise outdoors and admire stone sculptures
in the Forma Viva park. The thread of the experience
is a magical story about how
mills at the bottom of the sea help create salt –
an unforgettable experience for your children,
and carefree hours for you.

THE EXPERIENCE INCLUDES:Themed guiding and animation – children will learn about salt-making tradition through play, use real tools, explore the surroundings, and participate in creative and educational workshops. Fun activities and games – salt-making quizzes, Olympics, treasure hunts, creating salt paintings, and other interactive challenges that encourage teamwork and imagination. Snacks and souvenirs – includes symbolic gifts, event photography, a 0.5L water bottle, and dried fruits (figs, persimmons, apples).

Become a Little Salt Worker for a Day!
Children aged 6 to 12 are invited to an
unforgettable afternoon on the Seča peninsula,
where through play, movement,
and creativity they will explore the rich tradition
of salt production. From 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM,
under the guidance of two experienced animators,
they will embark on an exploratory journey from
Park Sonce near TPC Lucija to the
Forma Viva sculpture park and scenic viewpoints
above the Sečovlje Salt Pans.
Along the way, they’ll admire stone sculptures, work out in
the open-air gym, use traditional salt-making tools,
and follow a magical story about mills at the bottom of the sea.
The program is available in
Slovenian, English, Italian, German, and Spanish,
making it perfect for international guests too.
The Secrets of Salt Through a Child’s Eyes
This adventure takes children into a magical world, where they’ll become
little salt workers, admire stone sculptures at Forma Viva,
learn about the salt production process, use
traditional tools, clothing, and footwear, and work as a
salt-making team.
Through games like “Sculptor and Statues” and
“The Salt Girl Enchants the Stone Statues”, hands-on
activities, creating salt paintings, a fun
quiz, and the exciting Salt-Maker Olympics,
children will gain knowledge of the more than
700-year-old heritage of the salt pans — all while
parents enjoy peaceful time for themselves.
