Festive switch-on of the Christmas lights with the group Čuki
As the festive spirit arrives in Portorož, the first holiday lights will shine on Saturday, 29 November at 4:00 PM — marking the beginning of the magical The Sea of Winter Adventures 2025: Light Switching Ceremony with Čuki.
At Trg Prekomorskih Brigad, you will be welcomed by local vendors, plenty of laughter, music, and the vibrant energy that inspires all generations.
The band Čuki will create an unforgettable evening with their evergreen hits — join us and feel the first festive beats of Portorož.
Festive Market in Tartini Square, Piran
In the heart of the picturesque Tartini Square in Piran, from 19 December 2025 to 4 January 2026, a magical festive market will come to life — part of the rich programme of The Sea of Winter Adventures 2025.
By the sea, surrounded by twinkling lights and the scent of festive treats, you will discover stalls offering local products, gifts, and a warm holiday atmosphere.
Join the festive spirit and experience a special winter story in the old town’s charming setting.
New Year’s Eve Celebration in Piran
On the magnificent Tartini Square in the heart of Piran, an unforgettable New Year’s Eve night will shine on 31 December – complete with a spectacular musical performance!
Piran will come alive with rhythms, dance moves, and great festive energy, brought to you by Petar Grašo and the accompanying Tequila Band, who will welcome the new year in a truly special way.
Join the festive atmosphere, enjoy free entry, and create moments you’ll remember long after the final burst of lights.
Ice Rink and the Festive Programme at Magazin Grando
In winter, Magazin Grando becomes home to a true Sea of Winter Adventures.
The largest covered ice rink by the sea invites both young and old skaters, while creative workshops, children’s shows, and musical animations unfold all around it.
Sparkling lights, festive melodies, and lively performances ensure that every visit feels like a little holiday adventure. And to finish it all off, we dance together on the ice, creating a truly magical, fairy-tale atmosphere.
Christmas Market and Festive Events on the main square, Portorož
In Prekomorske Brigade Square, in the heart of Portorož, the magical Christmas & New Year Market will come to life once again — a place filled with the scent of the holidays and warm smiles. Surrounded by glittering lights, aromatic mulled wine, and handmade gifts, you’ll feel the true festive spirit by the sea.

Children’s programme
Across several magical locations throughout Portorož and Piran, the Children’s Programme within The Sea of Winter Adventures 2025 will offer a delightful world of activities — creative workshops, theatre performances, and surprises for the youngest visitors.
Every weekend and on festive days, children will be able to discover new stories wrapped in the holiday atmosphere by the sea. Join families and little explorers and experience a fairy-tale winter season filled with smiles and sparkling eyes.

In festive Lucija, The Sea of Winter Adventures 2025 will once again come to life, bringing magical atmosphere, smiles, and warm holiday cheer by the sea from 5 December to 3 January. The town will glow with lights, pulse to the rhythms of music, and fill the air with the scent of local treats and genuine togetherness.

Sparkling Wine Festival
Join the magical Sparkling Wine Festival, taking place on 26 December 2025 in the magnificent Crystal Hall of the Kempinski Palace Portorož. The event will bring together top sparkling wines from Slovenia, Italy, France, and Spain. Enjoy a selection of bubbly white, red, and rosé wines, crafted using the classic or Charmat method — the perfect festive indulgence!

New Year’s Afternoon and Fireworks
Let’s welcome 2026 by the sea, with music and light.
At 4:30 pm, the popular band Kingston will perform at Trg prekomorskih brigad, bringing great energy and a true festive atmosphere.
At 6:00 pm, the sky above Portorož will light up with a magnificent fireworks display, announcing the new year with light, sparkles, hope and joy.
