This year, Portorož and Piran will be in the spirit of bubbles for the entire month, as the Month of Sparkling Wine begins on December 1st 2023, when selected local Restaurants and Cafés offer special tasting menus accompanied by sparkling wines.

Join in the celebration that evokes the warmth and essence of this holiday season. The surprise menu is exclusively available during the holidays, specifically from December 1, 2023, to January 7, 2024. The menu, paired with selected sparkling wines, is priced at 230 € per person.

The menu will be available from Wednesday to Sunday, between 12 - 9 PM. Reservations are not necessary.

Mestna Kavarna - City Café Piran

From December 1st onwards, Piran will have its authentic dessert, named Š'torta, after the variety of native Piran olives, as a tribute to the tradition of salt production and olive cultivation. The recipe was prepared by the youngest Slovenian chef with a Michelin recognition, 23-year-old Kristian Zule. Š'torta is enriched with delicious caramel with Piran salt and olive mousse, and the most daring foodies can add to it a few drops of local olive oil. Š'torta has also a charitable mission, as the entire proceeds from the dessert's sales are dedicated to charitable purposes. You are warmly invited to the City Café in Piran, where, as part of the Sparkling wine month, Š'torta is paired with the excellent Gašper Brut sparkling wine.
