On 1 January, the traditional New Year's jump into the sea will take place on Portorož beach, followed by a spectacular firework show and a concert by the Italian singer Alexia (free enterance) on the main square in Portorož. 

A real novelty in the municipality of Piran will be the Festive train, which will take passengers from Lucija to Piran and back, connecting the festive events on this route.
