The Knez farmQuality products from the Knez farm are a real specialty on Slovenian market.
Mladen Knez is from Strunjan and he has loved good local food since childhood. Excellent local food was prepared by his mum and his dad Rikardo, a well know 87-year-old man among the inhabitants of Strunjan. Mladen is a businessman who inherited the farm from his dad and has dedicated the last seven years to the promotion of Strunjan's beauties and excellent food. He is also a local tourist guide.
While serving typical dishes he loves telling guests stories, he loves presenting local wine growers and of course Strunjan, his home village. Mladen tries to use everything a farmer can sell. From local fruits and vegetables to marmalades, oils and also cosmetic products. Specialty are also exquisite persimmons. This year 15 tonnes of persimmon were grown. The Knez persimmons are sold fresh, dried, in marmalade or in cosmetic products.
Olive trees, persimmon trees, artichokes, plums and other fruit and vegetables grow on the farm. Strunjan microclimate, sunny slopes and fertile earth create ideal conditions for excellent local products. Quality products are a real specialty on Slovenian market, they offer:
