On Sunday, 1 February 2026, we invite you to the Sečovlje Salina Nature Park – the southern part, the Fontanigge area, where we will celebrate World Wetlands Day with two guided tours and birdwatching. Special attention will be given to flamingos – with a bit of luck, we may observe them in all their pink splendour!
Programme:
- 9.00 – meeting point at the parking area and start of the 1st guided tour;
- 10.00 – start of the 2nd guided tour;
The guided tour runs from the parking area to the Salt-making Museum.
If you do not wish to join a guided tour, you can walk independently to the Salt-making Museum; a birdwatching point will be set up in its immediate vicinity from 9.00 to 13.00.
- The Salt-making Museum will be open on the day of the event.
- In case of bad weather, the event will be cancelled.
