Opening of the Magazin Grando Ice Rink: Saturday, 29 November 2025 at 6:30 PM
When the sky above Portorož turns into thousands of festive lights and the atmosphere spreads through the town after the illumination, Trg prekomorskih brigad will come alive with a performance by the Cizamo street artists.
With their energetic parade, the artists will create a true festive atmosphere and lead visitors from the heart of the event all the way to Grando, where at 18:30 the ceremonial opening of the Magazin Grando ice rink will follow.
At 18:30, the ceremonial opening of the Magazin Grando ice rink will begin in Portorož, featuring a magical artistic skating performance that will create a truly festive atmosphere. The seaside ice surface will come alive in the glow of lights and music, and visitors will be able to enjoy the first elegant steps on the ice.
After the official opening, between 19:00 and 20:30 there will be free skating for all visitors – an opportunity to glide across the freshly prepared ice and truly feel the beginning of the Sea of Winter Experiences 2025.
Ice rink Magazin Grando
In the heart of festively decorated Portorož, the Magazin Grando ice rink will shine once again this year, attracting both children and adults. The seaside ice surface offers an unforgettable winter experience, surrounded by music, lights, and the scent of holiday treats.
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced skater, you will find the true December atmosphere at Grando. In the pleasant setting, you can relax, smile, and spend unforgettable moments with family or friends.

Charity Campaign – Plush Teddy Bears
During the Sea of Winter Experiences event, we invite all children, parents, and friends to take part in a heartfelt charity campaign. In exchange for donating one plush teddy bear, you will receive a ticket for free skating at the ice rink in Magazin Grando.
We will collect teddy bears at three locations:
- until 28 November 2025 at the Avditorij Portorož
- on 27 November 2025 at Magazin Grando as part of the used clothing exchange organized by Okolje Piran
- from 29 November 2025 onwards at the ice rink in Magazin Grando, where a magical Teddy Bear Nursery in the winter forest awaits you
We will collect the teddy bears together with the Friends of Youth Association of Slovenia to ensure each bear finds a new friend – a child who longs for warmth, a hug, and a smile. Together, we can create a magical winter full of kindness and community spirit.
