3 Big Band Orchestra from Izola, one of the first big bands in Slovenia, began its activities in 1991. Over the years, the orchestra has developed into a high-quality, versatile ensemble performing jazz standards, contemporary instrumental compositions, pop and rock music, as well as original works and numerous in-house arrangements. To date, the orchestra has performed more than 400 concerts and has collaborated with many prominent Slovenian musicians from the worlds of jazz and popular music, including Oto Pestner, Renato Chicco, Darja Švajger, Alenka Godec, Nuša Derenda and others.
As part of the orchestra’s 35th anniversary celebration, a special program has been prepared featuring two outstanding soloists:
Teo Collori – guitarist, composer and leader of the band Momento Cigano. Teo is renowned for his virtuoso guitar playing and unique blend of jazz, flamenco and Romani music. His original compositions and performances have received awards and acclaim both in Slovenia and abroad, and his energy and improvisational skills will enrich the 3 Big Band Orchestra concert with unforgettable solo moments.
Denis Beganovič – Kiki – trombonist, composer and arranger, known for his warm tone and virtuosic command of the trombone. Denis has collaborated with numerous Slovenian and international musicians in both jazz and classical repertoire. He is recognized for his stylistic versatility and emotionally powerful solo performances. He is also a former member of the 3 Big Band Orchestra.
