Bičikleta Theatre – Puppet Show for Children: YOU CAN NEVER PLEASE EVERYONE
Our little donkey Bruno loves going for walks on his own, which greatly upsets the traffic policeman, who almost fines his owner, Grandpa. When Bruno sets off with grandson Tine on his back and Grandpa Jože by his side, Grandma Marinka is disturbed. Maks from class 8.b, hoping for a good photo, suggests a different riding arrangement. Veterinarian Dr. Kobilica is shocked when she sees that two people have climbed onto the donkey’s back. Grandpa, grandson and little donkey Bruno soon realise that you truly cannot please everyone!

The puppet show is lively, full of music, humour and warmth. Bruno’s cheeky rap interludes give rhythm and rhyme to the performance and cleverly engage both children and adults. The show encourages reflection on pleasing others, listening to oneself and making one’s own decisions.

Tomi (4), Suzana (8) and Darko (10) visit their grandfather for the first time after the loss of their beloved grandmother. The house is quiet and Grandpa seems distant. Inspired by memories, Suzana takes on the role of storyteller. Through magical tales and boundless imagination, she tries to bring warmth back into the home and their relationships. We enter a magical world of a mysterious cat, a seemingly frightening monster and a daring flying gentleman. These stories are mysterious, dramatic, sad and funny – and help the whole family cope with loss.
