A huge hit that sells out venues in Croatia, now for the first time in Slovenia!

Well-known actors Irena Grdinič and Mario Lipovšek Battifiaca – from Istria and Rijeka, recognizable faces on the television and music scene – have created the show Casabianca. After dark and tense times, they want to make the audience smile and show the funny side of life of a typical local married couple – from Istria and Rijeka, but also from Portorož, Koper, and all of Slovenia – from the 1960s to today.

Đurđa (Irena Grdinič) and Franko (Mario Lipovšek Battifiaca) met in the 1960s. She was enterprising, he was persuasive. He says she was pushy, she says he was weak. They watched Casablanca together and fell in love. It was beautiful until marriage, children, communism, capitalism, the party, political parties… Trends changed, but Đurđa and Franko persevered. Not without difficulties. As Franko says: life can be described in three words – always some kind of f***.
