In April, the galleries present the opening of an international exhibition, accompanying programmes marking their 50th anniversary, creative workshops for children, and an international student workshop.
The highlight of the month is the opening of the international group exhibition Earth Returns the Gaze II, taking place on Thursday, 2 April 2026 at 7 pm at Galerija Monfort. The exhibition, part of the More-than-Planet project, explores how we understand the planet today through the intersection of art, science, and technology. It will be on view until 10 June 2026.
At Mestna galerija Piran, the exhibition Coastal Galleries Piran – 50 Years of Contemporary Art is also on display, accompanied by a series of talks with artists and collaborators.
For children, Easter creative workshops will take place at Galerija Herman Pečarič:
- 3 April: Easter Surprise Eggs
- 4 April: Colourful Underwater World
From 20 to 24 April, the international Erasmus+ student workshop Thinking Piran will take place in Piran, focusing on the architectural and urban identity of the town.
