Rich event program in Portorož
When summer in Portorož reaches its most magical moment, the city comes alive with the rhythm of the Portorož Nights. Along the seaside promenade, concerts, performances, and musical spectacles fill the warm evenings with energy and joy.
The air is filled with the aroma of local delicacies, as the culinary promenade indulges visitors with the flavors of Istria and selected wines that perfectly complement the festive atmosphere. The streets and square transform into a stage for street artists, while the sky lights up with colors and visual effects that put the finishing touch on the summer festivities. Portorož
Nights are a seaside celebration where music, taste, and magic come together, and where the most beautiful summer memories are created year after year.

Help us create even more sustainable Portoroz Nights
The Portorož & Piran destination is a proud holder of the Slovenia Green Silver label, and we are committed to ensuring that larger events such as Portoroz Nights are organised in a sustainable and responsible way.
We believe that only together can we preserve our destination – for ourselves and for future generations.
We invite participants of Portoroz Nights to follow these guidelines for responsible behaviour:
- Drink tap water or use public drinking fountains – the water at our destination is of excellent quality.
- Separate waste properly – dispose of packaging and food leftovers in the designated waste bins in waste collection areas.
- Order only as much food as you can eat – order smaller portions more often or take leftovers home.
- Use public restrooms – pollution of public green areas is not permitted.
- Protect our sea – make sure that bottles, cups and other waste do not end up in the sea.
- Arrive by public transport or on foot – you’ll avoid unnecessary stress from parking and do something good for yourself and the environment.
- Follow the instructions of the organisers and staff, who ensure safety and a smooth, enjoyable event experience.
- Lead by example – younger generations are watching us, so act responsibly and respectfully.
The organisers encourage participants, partners and visitors to stay longer in the Portorož & Piran destination, explore the local offer, visit attractions and contribute to the sustainable development of the local community and economy.
After the event, we will collect feedback from participants, partners and local residents regarding overall satisfaction and the sustainability aspects of Portoroz Nights. The insights gathered will be taken into account when planning and organising future events. Thank you for contributing through your actions to more sustainable Portoroz Nights and for helping us preserve our destination just the way we love it.
The organisers of Portoroz Nights are committed to creating a safe, inclusive and respectful environment, where all visitors, performers, employees and volunteers are treated equally and with dignity.
At the event, we do not tolerate any form of harassment, violence, discrimination or exploitation, whether commercial, sexual or otherwise.
All participants have the right to a pleasant and safe experience, regardless of gender, age, nationality, religion, sexual orientation, appearance, beliefs or any other personal circumstance.
At Portoroz Nights, there is zero tolerance for:
- physical, verbal, psychological or sexual violence,
- racist, sexist, hateful or offensive comments,
- abuse of power, position or influence,
- theft or intentional damage to property.
The organisers ensure:
- equal opportunities for employment and volunteering,

If you do not feel safe:
In the event of inappropriate behaviour or if anyone feels unsafe, you may contact the event organisers or security staff, who will:
- ensure a safe and supportive environment,
- take action to prevent further violations,
- provide assistance, if necessary, in reporting the incident to the relevant authorities.
Portoroz Nights are a space for socialising, music and joy. A safe and respectful environment is created together, through the responsible behaviour of each individual – for the well-being of all and for the reputation of the Portorož & Piran destination.
In organising Portoroz Nights, we place special emphasis on reducing waste and using resources responsibly. At the event venue, separate waste collection will be provided, with a sufficient number of clearly marked bins.
During the event, single-use plastics are not used. Instead, we use durable plastic stemmed cups with a deposit system, which encourages reuse and significantly reduces packaging waste.
The organisers also ensure the reuse of tablecloths and stall decorations, which are designed without year markings and used over multiple editions of the event.
Through these measures, we aim to reduce the environmental footprint of the event and contribute to more sustainable Portoroz Nights.
The organisers of Portoroz Nights are committed to actively involving the local community and strengthening cooperation with the environment in which the event takes place. Whenever possible and appropriate, priority is given to local providers and residents of the destination.
Local food and beverage providers
- When applying for food and drink stalls, priority is given to local providers, especially those already operating within the destination.
- We further encourage providers of traditional Istrian dishes as well as long-standing participants who regularly take part in the festival.
In this way, we preserve the authenticity of the event and support the local economy.
Event location and getting to the destination
The Portoroz Nights event venue is easily accessible by public transport, on foot and by bicycle.
The organisers encourage sustainable ways of travelling to the event and the use of environmentally friendly transport options.
We recommend arriving:
- by public bus, which regularly connects Portorož, Piran and surrounding towns in Slovenian Istria,
- by train to the railway station in Koper, followed by onward travel by bus or other public transport,
- by bicycle or on foot, where possible,
- by car sharing – arrange to travel together with friends or acquaintances in a single vehicle, making the journey more pleasant, parking easier and the environmental impact lower.
The use of public transport and sustainable mobility options significantly contributes to reducing the event’s carbon footprint and to a better overall experience for all visitors.
Accessibility
The event venue is accessible to people with reduced mobility.
The organisers strive to provide a highly inclusive environment and encourage visitors with special needs to contact the organising team in advance.
Local food, drinks and products
The culinary offer at Portoroz Nights is largely based on locally produced food and beverages, as well as products that reflect the character and flavours of our destination.
The organisers encourage the use of local and seasonal ingredients, giving priority to organic food and drinks whenever available. Special emphasis is placed on cooperation with local providers already operating in the destination, strengthening the local economy and ensuring visitors enjoy an authentic event experience.
Particular attention is given to the preparation of distinctive local dishes, such as Istrian truffle dishes, seafood specialities, fish and shellfish from the Northern Adriatic, and other dishes rooted in traditional Istrian cuisine. This allows visitors to enjoy a genuine seaside gastronomic experience.
The food offer always includes at least one meat-free option, respecting diverse dietary preferences and encouraging more sustainable food choices.
By supporting local suppliers, we reduce the environmental impact of transport while contributing to the development of the local economy and the preservation of the culinary heritage of the Portorož & Piran destination and Slovenian Istria.
