YouSea Institute
Institute for the Conservation of Marine Biodiversity
The YouSea Institute is a non-governmental and non-profit organization based in Seča near Portorož, dedicated to preserving the biodiversity of the Slovenian sea and promoting the sustainable development of marine resources.
Its mission includes research, education, and public awareness about the importance of marine ecosystem conservation, as well as encouraging responsible behavior toward nature.
One of the institute’s key projects is the Marine Oasis Piran – an innovative underwater structure designed for sustainable multitrophic aquaculture and the protection of marine habitats.
In addition, the institute develops educational programs, artistic projects, and sustainable tourism, involving the local community in the active conservation of the sea.
