Events

Mediadom Pyrhani, under the auspices of and in cooperation with the Portorož-Portorose Auditorium, is again organizing the Mladi Val festival this year, which will take place on June 16, 2023 in the Sun Lucija Park starting at 5:00 p.m. The event is intended to present local youth organizations and societies, to network young people, to spend their free time creatively, and to revive youth organizations. The youth market with the presentation of the participants will be followed by a concert by the coastal bands Liquid Gasoline, The Chillers and Jure Lesar. Entry will be free.

Ten (and more) years ago, youth events were literally lined up in our environment. Young people socialized at concerts, pandola competitions, students were involved in various events, even as organizers of an international summer school for young violinists. The Mladi Val Festival is therefore a wake-up call, a moment of revival of all these youth potentials: concerts, open-air galleries and studios, a wide variety of creative workshops, sports events, and the revival of cultural heritage.

The young wave festival, organized by Portorož-Portorosa Auditorium and Mediadome Pyrhani, is an opportunity for local young, lesser-known or even anonymous creators. Not only musicians from unestablished music groups, for whom they cannot find a place on stages elsewhere - there are many local organizations and societies that work successfully! Therefore, they should not remain inside their premises, in the narrow circle of participants, without the much-needed mutual connection and the opportunity to perform together!

The potential of the Sun Park in Lucia, as a space for creative leisure time and as an event space, lies in connecting all these young actors. The joint presentation of musicians, artistic creators, ecologists, lovers of cultural heritage - pandol, to explosive skating enthusiasts should attract and encourage young visitors as well. Events of this kind have been lacking in our place for a long time - the Mladi val festival will once again fill this gap.

The following will present themselves: ŠIMC - Youth EPIcenter Piran, Association Muzofil, Škver, Scouts' Associations Rod Sergeja Masera Piran and Rod of Sea Stormers Portorož, Koper Youth Center, Koper Municipality Students' Club, Izola Students' Club, Piran Municipality Students' Club, Italian Youth Association national communities (Associazione dei giovani della comunità Italiana), the Swank Society and the Twirling and majorette club Lucija.

Activities, workshops: The Association of Pandolo Game Societies of Slovenia and KŠD Dolga Štorija will present the Pandola game, and the Muzofil Association will video document the festival. The official afterparty will take place after the event in Tamkotzmeraj Lucija.
