The fact that Piran musical evenings are a quality addition to cultural events in the wider Slovenian area is proof of their long life journey. The design of the cycle dates back to the spring of 1978, when the wonderful architecture of the ancient city of Piran increasingly came to the forefront of the minds of the cultural planners of the time, and they wanted to connect its beauty with music and present it as a harmony of two arts. The cruciform corridor of the Minorite Monastery in Piran is the ideal ambience for the connection of architecture with the music that sounded right there more than 300 years ago with the musical efforts of a young compatriot, later a world-class violinist and composer, Giuseppe Tartini.
