The Trondheim Symphony Orchestra and Opera (Norway) was founded in 2017. Since its foundation, the orchestra has regularly performed with the orchestra in opera and vocal-instrumental productions, as well as its own concerts and tours.

Their performances (both with orchestra and solo) are always well received and receive very good reviews. Trondheim Symfoniske Operakor is also a recipient of Norwegian state funding as a choir of outstanding artistic quality since 2021.

They have performed with internationally renowned conductors such as Han-Na Chang, Massimo Zanetti, Anja Bihlmaier, James MacMillan, Nick Davies, Gregor Bühl, Krzysztof Urbański, Peter Szilvay, Eivind Gullberg Jensen, Renato Balsadonna, Paul Agnew, Tabita Berglund, etc. Lise Davidsen, Elisabeth Teige, Marita Kvarving Sølberg, Ian Storey, Marianne Beate Kielland, Bror Magnus Tødenes, Raimonds Bramanis, Ann-Helen Moen, Gwyn Hughes Jones, Dario Solari, Beate Mordal, Beate Mordal, Hege Gustava Tjønn, Nils Harald Sødal, David Hansen, Trond Halstein Moe, Miah Persson, Anna Larsson, Mika Kares, etc.

The Trondheim Symphony Opera Choir is a regular guest at Norwegian music festivals (Olavsfest, Kamfest, Jazzfest). In 2022, the choir toured to Poland, where it collaborated with the renowned and multiple national award-winning The Śląsk Song and Dance Ensemble.

Since its foundation, the choir has been led by the Slovenian conductor Urša Lah (Rasmussen) and will be touring Slovenia for the first time from 1 - 5 May 2025.
