Moon Bay is the pearl of the Slovenian coast: experience its enchantment firsthand on a paddleboard. Glide over a clear seabed adorned with expansive flysch rocks that shelter diverse sea life, undisturbed by our silent paddleboards. Admire schools of fish and fan mussels in their natural habitat.
Our meeting point is under the poplars at Salinera Beach in Strunjan, where we provide equipment and introduce newcomers to paddleboarding. We begin by heading towards the seashell farm, taking a moment to balance on your paddleboard. Greeting the cormorants that live here, we embark on our journey through the thousand shades of green and blue towards Moon Bay. The sea's ever-changing colors are a spectacle of the diverse seabed and shifting clouds above.
We take our first break in Moon Bay at Ronek Cape, the highest point in the Northern Adriatic, surrounded by lush olive groves. This spot is ideal for a refreshing dip in the sea. With crystal-clear waters, it’s perfect for snorkeling and exploring the vibrant seabed.
With the sun high above, we glide past several boats anchored near the coast, heading towards Belvedere Beach. Under the shade of towering poplars, we can savor a refreshing drink or indulge in grilled specialties. After covering a 4km route, it's the perfect spot for a well-deserved break.
Surprisingly, the distance doesn’t feel that long, does it?
