The band Teo Collori & Momento Cigano needs no special introduction, as they have been successfully performing for over a decade and have released six original albums. They have performed multiple times in their home country, and listeners have always been thrilled by their virtuosic yet delicate playing.
This year, the band has been invited to participate in a special project that combines their music with Portuguese Fado. The project is named "Mediterranean meets Adriatic." The tour, which began in Portugal, will conclude in Slovenia, with one of the final concerts taking place at the Tartini Theatre in Piran.
Custódio Castelo (Portuguese guitar) is one of the world's top Fado guitarists. He is also the head of the only university in the world dedicated to Fado, based in Lisbon. Throughout his long career, he has performed with Mariza, Ana Moura, Cristina Branco, and many other Fado stars. This time, he will perform in a duet with singer Ana Paula Martins.
The Piran concert will be divided into three parts: first Fado, then Momento Cigano, and finally a collaboration where the Fado duet will be accompanied by the sound of Momento Cigano.
