The Slovenian Istria Wine Makers' Association
will organise this year's
26th Malvasia Festival
on Sunday and Monday, 10 and 11 March, at the congress centre of the LifeClass Portorož hotels.
The festival is open to the public and attracts many visitors from all over Slovenia and abroad every year. This year, we will be able to taste malvasia from a
record 80 winemakers
from Slovenia, Croatia and Italy.
Among the
200 samples of malvasia
, there are also those that have received the highest number of points in the
Sommelier Slovenia 2024
evaluation before the opening of the festival. Each year, the jury chooses from among the malvasia entries, which are divided into six categories: sparkling, fresh, mature, macerated, residual sugar and flavoured.
March is the month when the predominant white Istrian wine variety - Malvasia - invites you to Slovenian Istria and Portorož.
Enterance fee:
25 € – 1 day
40 € – 2 days
20 € – sommeliers in uniforms and students
