After the
significant impact of the epidemic on our event organisation in January and
February 2022, conditions improved in March and we were finally able to go full
steam ahead into the new MICE season, starting with international events.
Close to 200 participants at the international
consultation on plant protection
In early March, we hosted the international
consultation on plant protection, with over 180 participants. The event was
organised by the Plant Protection Association of Slovenia.
Over the course of two days, experts
in various fields held consultations and presented their papers, findings and
results related to the central topic of ‘Modern methods of plant protection for
the health of plants, people and the environment’ at our MICE venues.
The annual consultation of an international
humanitarian organisation
ADRA is an international humanitarian organisation with
60 years of tradition operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church with over 20
million members. The annual consultation of the American and European branches
of ADRA was held at our venues. The topics of discussion included the situation in
Ukraine, organising aid for refugees and children, and organising volunteer
doctors who ADRA is sending to the Ukrainian borders. ADRA also collects food, clothing, blankets and other
items necessary in the war zone in Ukraine. The two parts of the annual consultation had close to
80 participants.
An international conclusion of MICE activities in
March with Teach Beyond
March
ended the same way it had started – on an international note. The international
meeting of Teach Beyond saw 350 attendees from over 30 countries. Teach Beyond is focused on education
in various fields. The event organisers decided on Portorož for their meeting,
and they were delighted with their choice.
