The modern way of life almost does not allow to dedicate some amount of time to sports and re-creation. Thus it is only proper to use our summer vacation in Portorož in slightly different manner. Beside the opportunities for hook fishing, boat fishing, swimming in pools and in the sea, diving, boating, sailing and wind-surfing, there are in Portorož many playgrounds – tennis, mini golf, a smaller golf exercise playground in Marina, handball, basketball, volleyball, bocce and bowling. All who enjoy four wheels, can test their driving abilities on a go-cart track of 720 metres in length. The brave ones can join in the parachute school of Portorož Airport.
In nearby 1 km distant Lucija, there is a sports hall allowing major sports events with the capacity of up to 1000 visitors. In hinterland villages you can bike, and on the Medljan farm ride.
