Portorož Airport is the third international airport in Slovenia that currently handles general aviation traffic. This exceptionally positioned airport is located in the middle of the Sečovlje Salina Nature Park, only a few kilometres from tourist hotspots Portorož and Piran. With its 1,200-meter-long runway, it is one of the leading general aviation airports in Southeastern Europe. The airport includes all the required equipment for arriving and departing aircraft, a lighting system, an aviation fuelling service, an environmentally friendly aircraft cleaning service, a duty-free shop, hangars, as well as other services intended for ensuring the well-being of visitors. In summertime, the airport is open from 8:30 am to 8 pm, and in winter from 8 am to 4:30 pm.
