Tartini

Our town is marked by music, as here was born and raised the internationally renowned musician, composer and violinist Giuseppe Tartini. His statue decorates the main square that is named after him.

Tartini House

The house, where the renowned composer and violinist Giuseppe Tartini was born, has beautiful frescoes and interesting objects that the artist left to his family in Piran. Nowadays, it is also a meeting place for numerous cultural events.

Tartini Square

It used to be an inner dock for fishing boats, and afterwards, tram railways were built on it. Nowadays, the ellipsoid plateau made of white stone, designed by architect Boris Podrecca, is a place where people get together and where throughout the year various events take place.

Tona's House

This one-story stone house with olive mill and olive press is located in the village of St. Peter. With the renewed ethnological collection, it represents the typical house of the picturesque Istrian villages.

Town Gallery Piran

The renovated gallery is one of the most important exhibition places in Slovenian Istria, where many artists known in Slovenia and abroad have exhibited their art.
